i hate the khmer rouge so much for destroying for what we had,
they don't deserve to die yet at all.
instead, they should live with ALL the skeletons of the millions of they killed until the second they die.
let those ghosts haunt them until they feel bad

Is this style of Khmer music called "Ayai"? I saw something like this with Kong Nay, it was excellent.

I love this song. This song is a great representation of what Cambodia culture is all about. I would give anything to be born during those "golden era" where there are peace and seas of beautiful Cambodian women. I learned how to sing this song because it connects me to a country that I knew very little about.

You're seeing chinese lyrics, because this movie was one of the many great films that was produced during Khmer's Golden Age. During that time, many Khmer films were featured in International Film Festivals. The Chinese lyrics you're seeing showed how much the Chinese admired and appreciated Khmer films. Like what Khmers are doing to Chinese movies in this modern era, the Chinese back then did voice-over for their fellow Chinese viewers.
