  • Versailles is therefore famous not only as a building, but as a symbol of the system of absolute monarchy of the Ancien Régime.

  • When the château was built, Versailles was a country village; today, however, it is a suburb of Paris, some 20 kilometres southwest of the French capital. The court of Versailles was the centre of political power in France from 1682, when Louis XIV moved from Paris, until the royal family was forced to return to the capital in October 1789 after the beginning of the French Revolution.

  • The Palace of Versailles, or simply Versailles, is a royal château in Versailles in the Île-de-France region of France. In French it is the Château de Versailles.

  • DeBlasio?

  • @Jinxxed0 No, I don't agree with Codani12 comment. It is ridiculous to say that this is the "worst thing ever." Believe me, take it from somebody who grew up poor, the people in the ghetto don't want to live in the ghetto. People who live in poverty, would look at this Palace, and think wow, a person who thinks that this is the worst thing ever, in my opinion, must think low. My comment is being taken out of context. Yes, everybody is entitled to their opinion, including me.

  • @Milton754 right because anyone not interested in this live in the ghetto? Theres no need to be rude towards people in poverty because of someone's comment.

  • Very nice, and anybody who thinks this is the worst thing ever; obviously, they don't have great taste, and should look at something more appealing to their taste, maybe the ghetto.

  • Cody Danielson this is the best thing ever.

  • Worst thing ever

  • Thanks for uploading this!

Does anyone know who composed the music for this documentary? thanks
