GoldenEye X: Installation tutorial

Hi everyone!
Today I give you a simple tutorial on how to install GoldenEye: X, or to phrase it better, how to patch Perfect Dark roms. This tutorial covers from the installation of the Setup Editor to launching the emulator.
Required to play GoldenEye X :
- Perfect Dark v1.1 Rom
- GoldenEye: X Patch
- GoldenEye/Perfect Dark Setup Editor
- Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Redistributable
- Emulator (Muppen64++ or 1964 are the best choices)

What 1964 emulator is that ? The latest from the site ?

My PJ64 1.6 WAS working GE:X. Now it completely gives up running it..

@mistamontiel I use 1964 ultrafast (Emulator that allows you to simulate overclock on the console thus reducing dramatically the level of framedrops). If I were you I'd not use Project 64 at all for hacked ROMs, since PJ64 is more likely to "know each rom and simulate the game at best", compared to Muppen++ which is more like "Pure emulation of the console".

HyDrEYuRei !! My rom remains Unknown Dump. Yes I got the recent .ini from goldeneyevault, still no luck to GE:X.

& so, I'm pretty much screwed eh ? lol. Superb upload regardless. Cheers

@mistamontiel doesn't matter is the RO+M is an unknown dump, it still works. :)

@HyDrEYuRei Yeh, only if the guy you want to play with is also getting unknown dump. I've gotten enough feedback but they are clueless.

I just made my emulator use 16k eeprom I believe it was. That finally allowed me to play GE: X to myself :].

I was so stupid.

You need to replace the REAL mupen64.ini

The one outside of the MAIN Mupen folder, is merely a backup. It's not even used.
