"OH UR SCODDISH!" For god sake.. really? Is that the most interesting question they could ask? Yes she's Scottish.. when an American comes to the UK for an interview they never get some dopey bleary eyed pleb staring at them and saying "Oh you're American!" How patronising would that be? Very.

I love the fact that there's such a vast amount of Scottish diaspora across the globe. When Americans come around to their heritages it's a great thing to see. My only problem with it is when they wear shamrocks, start a "celtic connections" rock band and call themselves Irish at the first opportunity, then never bother to go back to Ireland to help the country. The same goes for Scots-Americans. Call yourself a Scottish American if you'd rather live over there, not Scottish.
