Mountain Bike Nevada is a Mountain Bike ride across the state of Nevada from Cal-Neva Hotel & Casino on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, on the border of California and Nevada. The 11 day mountain bike ride starts there, and ends on the Utah - Nevada State Line in Border Town on Highway 50.
11 Days
533 miles
38,000 ft of climbing.
This video is day 3 and 4
Day 3 started at Ft. Churchill State Park Nv, and paralleled Highway 50 heading east. In the video, you can see Sand Mountain, and just after that, you see our 3 mile hike-a-bike section through the sand. The following climb was also loose and sandy, and had hike-a-bike sections. Then downhill to the active gold mine of Rawhide.
Day 4 started at Rawhide, Nv, and continued out to the town of Gabbs. This day was about 1/2 pavement. Once at the town of Gabbs, we continued up and over the next range to the old mining town of Berlin, which is the home of Ichthyosaur State Park.
I will have about 5 or 6 videos to connect the state from end to end. So, this is 1 of 5 or 6.
