Based on the oscilloscope but heavily optimised
Although the scope had 90 pixels, each row of 15 was dependant on one another for data, but optically were independant with 16 lasers being their own system - making a total of 98 lasers for the entire system.

the TV runs on only 13 Lasers, running 75 pixels. So is actually more effecient optically than just 1 layer of the oscilloscope. There is a 14th laser, but this is only in an adjustment knob.

Although optically simple, the code is very complicated by comparison to achieve the effect. If you've got algodoo you can download the scene here and have a look for yourself, but remember to read the instructions and add the code into the box before you run it.

Haha yeah, Its not quite perfect, sometimes the pixels bleed into adjecent ones. But I haven't seen anyone else try and do better ;)

  • @MrCaioable

Lasers are a feature in Algodoo, they aren't in the free Phun version.

Same here. A year later I'm still addicted to it (infact moreso I'd say), even if I don't really play algodoo or phun anymore.
