so u play a squire and use a roland microcude. i have exactly the same, and wanted to ask how u get that tone! could u give me all settings, on the amp and on the guitar? thanks. great cover. also, how do you do it so the actual strumming isnt heard that much, cuz on mine, i always hear the strumming much too much, although i play loud... thanks a lot

Hi!

I use my cube 60 instead of my micro cube for 2 years by now, so i dont remember the exact settings.

But i'm sure, i used a boss ME-30 for distorsion, i used the neck pickup, and i tudned down the tone knob nearly all the way down (or just all the way down, i dont remember that).

Oh, and i changed the squier original pickups, to the ones from a mexican fender strat (2002 model if i remember well).

You hear the strumming from the amp, or the guitar?

@eti8 is the cube 60 better, and how much did it cost? i have been playing guitar for 2 years now, but i only play with the amp and guitar, no extra effects and all that, so i dont understand the boss me-30 thing. how much does it cost? i hear the strumming from the guitar, like on an accoustic, of course i also hear some from the amp but i guess you cant get rid of that completely... thanks very much for ure answers and time :=)

I dont know how much these things cost in your country. I bought the cube60 2 years ago, and the me-30 3-4 years ago, so i dont know the actual price also.

I think your pickup isn't loud enough. You could try to change it to an original fender, or something better.

Of course from the amp you will hear the strumming, with any pickup, but that is the way to play the funk! :D

haha i'm in germany :) but do you think that the microcube is a good amp for beginners? is the me-30 more like 20 euros or 100 euros (or dollars). the pickups are the things that u switch with on the guitar right? how much do those cost, and can u fix them ureself or do u need a pro? thanks :) yep, funk for ever. i just learned how to play funky monks :) awesome song
