After being refused permission to visit Zimbabwe, Kofi Annan, President Jimmy Carter and Graça Machel held meetings in Johannesburg with political leaders, aid workers, donors, UN agencies and civil society representatives, many of whom travelled from Zimbabwe to see them. They also held meetings with leaders of South Africa and Botswana. The Elders described the humanitarian crisis in Zimbabwe as far worse than they imagined and called on ZImbabwe's leaders to put the interests of the people first.
Bobsbeentaken It is very misleading to compare the SAINT of MODERN-DAY POLITICS and that is Pres. Jimmy Carter to Mr. Ian Smith whose policy was on RACISM, SEGREGATION, & DISCRIMINATION of Blacks. Smith's policy was based on the belief that Blacks are sub-human! Mr. Jimmy Carter is a true hero who denounces discrimination! As for Graca Machel-Mandela, stay away from Zimbabwe's politics because there is nothing of substance to offer Zimbabwe right now! Tackle CHILD PROSTITUTION in S. Africa

Mr. Carter is truly a good man! Madame Graca Mandela, what u fail to realize in this dichotomy is that SATANIC, EVIL, ILLEGAL sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe are the root cause to all these problems in Zimbabwe. When will you stand up & challenge that DEMON publicly? You know very well from the depth of your heart that colonial enslavement in ZIMBABWE started from Rhodes, to Smith, and today it is thru SATANIC sanctions. Stay out of Zimbabwe's politics & stop BIGOTRY! Graca denounce embargo!
