Elton John - The Best "Take Me To The Pilot" Intro Ever!
Recorded in Milan, December 16 2003, and I was there!
Any transcription or midi recording for piano is much appreciated... I know for sure there will be some genial pianist out there who can do this for me, just even to thank me for having posted this wonderful rendition!!!
I've tried to write down the first part in a midi file because it's too hard to play for me as fast as it should be played... Here is the result, I hope it can be somehow useful to start to work on it...

Thanks in advance for any further help!
wish he showed more of this side of his talent than the schmaltzy lion king stuff.

Try the Greek Theatre performance from 94 also (first time he played "Believe" live)

Yes this intro is unbelievable. It was so musical and frankly, virtuosic! He is a True songsmith and brilliant improviser.

not the best...but very good!
hey, look for the face to face concert Live at the Tokyo Done 1998...
That intro is the best of the dozens i've heard... you'll love it. I promise. The first 5 mins of the 10 min song is the best solo i've yet heard for this song.
Similar characteristics as this one with the octave bass...trust me. If you think this is best you will LOVE the 98 Japan version.
Send me a message and maybe I can email it or something.
