I have a question about SLI and CROSSFIRE
IF the mobo will run two cards n 8x 8x that's meaning it will run it as one 16x card
is it ?
-
can you have triple crossfire?

Whats the difference between the EVO and PRO version? My local stores sell both at the same price and the only difference I noticed is the ports. So please help me.

@IDannyxss I would go with this! Simply because its the cheapest ASUS p55 mobo that supports crossfire/sli (i want sli all the toerh are crossfire) where the slots are running at 8x 8x (and they threw in a 4x great for pysx!!).

Hey linus it me the guy who asked about either the ud5 and rampage i decided to go ud5 but i was just wondering if the rumored 6 cored cpu's that are suppose to come out in the middle of next spring will they be for x58 or another board or do you know nothing?

6 core CPUs will be for X58, but they may not work on current boards. No one knows for sure yet.

Yeah their lineup is REALLY confusing... It took me like 10 minutes off camera to try to figure out all of the differences between this and the EVO.

I do really like the P55 platform though. Actually went with a Core i7 860 for a recent build for a friend. Paired it up with an MSI P55-GD80 and it's super stable with great performance.
I definitely won't be changing over my own X58 system though.
