This is a clip of my friend trying out my recently lifted CRV. He tried to drive like there was no snow and it drove like there was no snow... not too exciting. Next clip will show him trying to make it interesting.

-BFGoodrich All-Terrains; 215/75R15 -RING-TYPE COIL SPRING STABILIZER

  • In a few days i will show you how i will lift my CR-V here in Mexico. i will change my suspension whith the same original but i will put a diferent base for them, whith 2 inch minimum of lift.

    Videos coming soon.

  • @DENISPANAMA Excellent... looking forward to seeing it. My next step will be to head to a junk yard and see if I can find coil springs with the same diameter but longer height. I figure it's worth a try.

FYI: There is a 1.75inch lift kit on ebay by Old Man Emu if ever you want a brandname solution.

  • Did you put the Spring spacers on the bottom? Or just slide them into the coils? I think I'm going to do this to my GF's CRV for shits and giggles.

  • @caoboy85 I put the spacers on top of the coil spring on the rear tires... I later put them into the coils as there was rubbing... it didn't seem to help that much. The cause of the rubbing was my tires no longer fit under my wheel wells. As soon as I removed my 1.5inch WHEEL SPACERS all was well. I have yet to remove the SUSPENSION SPACERS that are between my coil springs... I figure I probably only need the ones ON TOP of my coil springs

  • @caoboy85 So in summary:

    4 X BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO Tire = 400$

    4 X Used Rims = 240$

    4 X Spring Spacer Coil = 50$

    ==========================

700$ functional lift on a CRV

NOTE: I still have my front Wheel spacers and eventually hope to lift my CRV in a different method so I can get a full 2 inch+ lift. This would allow me to have the wider stance that I want and not rub in the wheel-wells.

  • Modification Clarifications

    - All details are noted in the description click (more info)

    - Spacers for stance: 1.5 inch wider per side

    - Spacers for height: 1.5 inch high

    - tires: from 195's to 215's BF A/T

    - no engine upgrades

    - 205000KM's

  • It's no V8, but CRV's do serve a purpose.....cheap AWD vehicle for those that need space on a budget and don't want a faggy wagon or POS minivan.
