  • @kholo86 Apartheid SA and Iran are different situations, but so was Iraq. Many say that sanctions never work, just a pretext for war. My point is SA is a counterexample where sanctions were part of the solution and didn't lead to invasion. Yes innocent people suffer, probably more so than the leaders, but the goal of ending apartheid was deemed by the world to be worth the cost / pain of sanctions; likewise many think sanctions on Iran are appropriate and preferable to war or Iran w/ nukes.

  • ... supers powers of the world can not resort to force to settle scores and be alarmed when other nations resort to the use the same measures. The US. as the records have it is one of the few countries to have deployed a WMD on a civilisation amongst other ills, and probably still has such active programes who Q's that? In light of this and other obscenities the world continues to marvel at its advances. If you asked me: these are pre-apocalypse activities engineered chiefly by US.

  • @thughes218 that is a long haul, SA and Iran r two different countries. SA doesn't have abundant energy resources, and the situation was purely an oppressive regime, and sanctions were relevant in that regard. Referring to Iran, it makes perfect sense for a country which its neighboring states and the Arab world at large, have been literally turned into hell at the hands of the West and its affiliations to run such an armament programme. Mind you I'm not condoning war, but certain so called...

  • HAHA, nobody in Iran cares or does any business with American banks anyway, this is fukin funny

  • The usraelis are ridiculous, iran has no nuclear weapons and shows no intension of weaponizing nuclear power. The zionists ambition for controlling goverments and raping resources is the agenda, all the rest is propaganda.

  • @kholo86 I see you are from South Africa. Were sanctions against South Africa apartheid government effective at pressuring that government to reform apartheid and give up nuclear weapons and sign the NPT, without the world invading or attacking South Africa?

  • Geithner? No one takes anything he says in front of a camera as the truth. Sad.

  • U Snakes of A your hands are equally as bloody, think about that and the REAL reason why nations such as Iran go to such extremes to arm themselves. It very unsettling that a country which has literally been responsible so much compromise of human life around world, continues to and play it saintly with the support of some gay-tions. GIGO is the order of life, if they consider this with respect to their war efforts, the world would be much more peaceful. Sanction your evil-selves hypocrites.

  • @andipat100 Nuclear disarmament with verification and a sufficient conventional force should be enough security, preferable to MAD. Some nations that had nukes disarmed: Belarus, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and South Africa. Alternative is to reduce to small number of nukes, 10s or 100s, but many think ZERO is safer, as suicide bombers with even one nuke would be disastrous. NPT has flaws, but nuclear non-proliferation and nuclear reduction / disarmament should make the world safer.

  • @thughes218 and I dont suport that goal because there will be always a nation wiling to use nukes ,thinking that worldwide nuclear disarment is posible is dangeroues
