PLYMOUTH — .A Brockton woman is in critical condition at a Boston hospital after a three-vehicle accident on Federal Furnace Road Wednesday night.
Olivia Souza, 20, of Ellsworth Street, Brockton, was airlifted from Federal Furnace Elementary School to Boston Medical Center after the 5:30 p.m. accident near the entrance to South Meadow Village. Souza was on life support at the hospital Thursday, police said.
Witnesses told police Souzas westbound Ford Ranger pickup truck strayed into eastbound traffic, brushing a Dodge Ram pickup before crashing head-on into a Toyota Highlander.
James Rogers, 50, of Sandwich Street, the driver of the Dodge, and Brett Sematore, 34, of Lady Slipper Drive, the driver of the Toyota, were taken to Jordan Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident. The crash shut down Federal Furnace Road for more than an hour.
