Sen. Jim DeMint tells Neil Cavuto that he stands by comments made that failure of President Obama's health care reform plan will be his "waterloo". This on the day President Obama said his health care reform bill will pass as long as some people try not to "score political points."

"He's been on a rampage to take over various parts of our economy," DeMint said. "We've got to stop him... I'm serious."

He adds Obama has "played right into my hands" as far as the urgency to get this done.

DeMint also says he has no plans to reun for President in 2012 "for now."

  • jim demint has a point, obamas healthcare plan will raise taxes and put many small businesses out of business, it will raise taxes on people who create jobs, raise costs on private insurance and will force people to the public option, it costs over a trillion dollars of government spending, etc...

  • Someone PLEASE get a little commons sense! As bad as the insurance companies are (and many need some real changes) having our GOVT take over health care will be the biggest fiasco ever. Come on... look at how Social Security, Medicare, etc are putting our kids and grandkids into a debt they'll never be able to handle and life as we know it will be finished in America!

  • Jim Demint caused the recession.

  • obama is destroying freedom.period

  • DeMint is a worthless sack of shit. Same for everybody that voted for him.

  • @gardee37 I get what your going at but im sorry that was a very ignorant remark

  • Traitor!!! DeMint in 2008, you killed a piece of legislation that would have acknowledged WWII POWs were used as slaves just because you could not add an earmark to it. You bastard!!! you only use the military to give your friends contracts but to honor them YOU SPIT ON OUR TROOPS! You piece of shit!!!

  • @ProudConservative2 The socialized health care system in Cuba is NOT atrocious. They have the highest doctor to civilian ratio out of any country in the world. The medicine there is super cheap, because the GOVERNMENT pays for all of it. You have obviously never been to Cuba. Its funny how the most powerful and wealthy country in the world does not have the most important division available for the ENTIRE population. lol your country is doing it completely WRONG

  • @yugyug9 England is about to abolish it's healthcare and go back to a PRIVATE system because it is going BROKE! And Cuba... OMG living conditions and healthcare there are atrocious! You've been watching SICKO! I'm just glad you live in Canada; we have enough people trying to be cared for by someone else from cradle to grave. Stay there!

  • @ProudConservative2 You have nooooooo clue what you are talking about. Look at France, Canada, Australia, Cuba, Finland and the UK. Best health care systems on the face of the planet and they are all socialized. None of these countries are in debt because of socialized medicine. And Cuba is still considered a developing country and they have highest doctor to civilian ratio in the world. Maybe you should read up on things a little bit.

  • @quest8899 I live in Canada, and we have a socialized health care plan that is one of the best health care systems on the face of the planet. People need to stop bitching and complaining about paying taxes, and the bigger and richer corporations should start being taxed heavier than previous times. Your right, we need to give small businesses a solid chance for success, and that means taking from the extremely greedy companies. In Canada, we do it right.

  • @quest8899 How about we start taxing the largest corporations in the world who take in profits of hundreds of billions of dollars every year. Your last republican president spent well over a trillion dollars on war. I think the entire country can afford to subsidize a wicked health care plan that Obama is trying to propose, that actually meets the needs of EVERYONE, not just people who can afford it.
