Powerpoint for beginners

This is a small video to show the beginners how to use powerpoint including most of its basic features. I would really appreciate some comments on what else I can cover

I have 07 student version and it does not have hardly any of the options shown on yours am i missin something like a hidden toolbar or is my version a stripped down version w/o all the options?!!? Help PLZ

Hi DJShimly,

As regards making a new slide go the home tab of powerpoint 2007. Slide layout is next to new slide. To design your slide, go to the design tab and for custom animation click the animation tab and its one of the buttons in that menu. Hope this helps!

omg mi powerpoint looks way dif than urs it doesnt have all that stuff on the right side i kant chose those desings and up at the vary vary top it doesnt like file and stuff like that pleez tell meh how 2 get it ur way!!

Hi,

my guess is that you have powerpoint 2007. i would suggest that you look at powerpoint 2007 videos. I will try and do one soon but im very busy at the moment. To get you started, click the home tab at the top and click new slide underneath that. Then click design tab and choose which design you want. If you are sure it is powerpoint 2003 then press F1 and it might sort it out

I got powerpoint 03 and everytime I launch it, it brings up my "documents". Why does this happen?

im guessing its because its giving you the option to open a recent document you have worked on. Click cancel in the window and it should show the powerpoint window. If it is greyed out then click file>new hope this helps. reply if you need more help

@DJShmily its not stripped down, it just has a more hidden layout.

it has some great new features that 2003 doesn't, but the interface is different
