I took a trip to Abu Simbel ancient egyptian temple on the early morning convoy...sadly I was on the wrong side of the extremely packed minibus to get the shots of the sunrise but I got this, you can see the amazing rose glow of the sun rising in the extremely empty desert - it takes 250 miles to get to Abu Simbel and there's not much in between - you have to have a police accompanied convoy for safety and security - mostly because of breakdowns I think.
