Mika's AAC agility trial July 9, 2009

This was a mini-trial, so it was held in the evening. That's why it was on a Thursday.

Masters Standard 1
Yayy, our first Masters Q! (Well, it would have been our 4th if those clean runs at Regionals counted.) Weaves weren't the fastest towards the end of the set because she kind of tripped and had to get her hopping striding back, but she was a very good girlie and ran great for me!

Masters Standard 2
Very fast! Weaves were so fast too!! the judge called a fly-off on the teeter -- she had a similar teeter at a trial last fall and the judge didn't call that one, but it really does depend on the judge. I don't mind though, it just means that she's confident on the teeter, she doesn't usually fly off so I'm not worried about it. Nice fast chute at the end!

Masters Jumpers
Really fun run!! Went off course at the beginning, off course over the last jump when it was supposed to be a tunnel because she knew that it was the last jump and she wanted her treats! Then some more off-courses later in the run and some missed jumps, lol, oh well, it's all fun, and Mika was having a good time even though she was tired! I'm getting used to the fact that our last runs are always the messiest ones. Mika's the opposite of most dogs, her first runs are the best and her last run is the messiest. Still, we had soo much fun with the end of this course, it was probably one of the most fun things we've done on course -- I sent Mika into the navy green tunnel at the very back of the ring and then ran ahead to the end of the line of jumps, so that by the time Mika came out of the tunnel I was halfway down the line, and I could literally call her over the line of jumps like we do in training! :D

Go Mika, she had so much drive and I just love running her!!

Thanks!! She has lots of personality, I love how she always surprises me, it's fun to run an unpredictable dog :D Thanks also for the handling compliment, my handling usually sucks, but it was better at this trial! You're a great handler too! :)
