  • so we watched the Alamo movie today, and since i livewith my grandparents, this was the frst song that came to my mind when a map came up that had all te major towns in Texas. Anyways,i loove this song. And im 13 lol.

  • How cruel life is that soon Glen will have no recollection of any of his music that has touched us all throughout the years.

  • A great anti-war song .....

  • What a beautiful song! It's hauntingly beautiful. Makes you think of old times of joy and loss.

  • Waterloosunset2,

Because you posted the teasing comment to the viewers who rated lower this video, I deleted it and also blocked your account.

  • I know of no other example where an artist by speeding the tempo up from the original recording and making it more "lasvegasy" actually increases the level of emotional intensity. Because now there is a certain levity to the song. Astonishingly good song crafting by Webb, just... "I am so afraid of dying" says it all: no more war, please...

  • I had a boy-friend in the Navy SEALS around the time this song was released. Since everything was so highly confindential, & with him on Coronado Island, & me in MI we drifted apart. I still consider him the LOVE OF MY LIFE. This song wil always remind me of him. Still love you, & will always miss you Kurt!
