Otis High-Speed Elevators at Westin Peachtree Plaza Atlanta

The Westin Peachtree Plaza, formerly the world's tallest hotel, was built in 1975. The building was designed by famous Atlanta architect, John Portman (who also designed the Marriott Marquis, Peachtree Center, SunTrust Plaza, and also America's Mart.) These elevators do tend to sway during travel, but they are still very safe. The system was functional even after a tornado hit the building earlier this year (although the tornado did take out the scenic elevators). These elevators serve floors 5-9, 12-14, and 45-72, although the top floor is usually locked to encourage people to enter the SunDial restaurant through the scenic elevators. These elevators were modernized by Otis in the early 2000's and were some of the first to feature Otis's LCD floor indicators, introduced in conjunction with IBM in 2000.

These people who are entering the elevator are kind of irritating. Because you are trying to archive the full speed of the elevator and yet those people are calling it at different floors.
