fantastic performance! this man will always be a legend. about the tuning, i think the audio is just off because of how old the recording is. at least that's what i think...still pretty awesome though

@Nai61a..I listened again, and the problem is not really with playing the concerto in A major, which he does, but rather with Menuhin' tuning..his Strad was tuned a tad flat, which can be heard in the harmonics where played.

@TheMmesser The Concerto is in A, but it sounds very sharp to me.

Karajan, Menuhin,the orquestra were very inspired. Cadenzas terrific:One of my favorits version...maybe the best
