Veronica "Constance" was wonderful onscreen. I thought she played a very good part in "So Proudly We Hail". I enjoyed her in several others hat I have in my collecton, including "Ramrod" and "I Wanted Wings". She appeared in over 30 films. The Sainted Sisters is pretty funny too. She plays part of a two sister con artist group. There is something about her onscreen that is mesmerizing. Alas, I was born in the wrong generation.

Edith Head, the Costume Designer, did an amazing job hiding the 6-month pregnancy of Veronica Lake.

Veronica lake was said to have not only the most perfect hair, perfect legs, but also the most radiant, luminous skin in Hollywood. Jessica Rabbit, by the way, is based on Ms Lake. With high cheek-bones, a disarmingly beautiful smile, very few Hollywood starlets looked this majestic, as Veronica Lake. The scene in Sulliven's Travels, when Lake turns around in the Diner to serve the "hobo", is BEAUTY personified! Yes, Ms Lake was pregnant here, but she's killer cute! This Gun for Hire is a must!

hey you forgot to mention I married a witch, it is the only movie that i was able to download complete and in good quality in emule...and since I saw that rebeld without a cause was uploaded completed in youtube I was only trying with veronica lakes films, but is imposible
Hi, Neo. Yes, I didn't like I Married A Witch very much at all. Among other things, the chemistry with Frederic March is nothing like that with Alan Ladd, much less Joel McCrea. I really didn't think much of the story line, either.

Hola, Neo. I don't have the whole movie digitized, just a few clips. It's a great film, worth grabbing from Amazon or elsewhere, along with The Glass Key and This Gun For Hire. I've seen most of her other movies, and unfortunately, she's really only good in these three. Especially the two opposite Alan Ladd.
