Ive tried both, the red and the white. They BOTH bum me out.
They make your hair look stiffy and greasy, and make it look dirty super quick. Even after one day my hair looked dirty. sigh.

  • pantene is bad for your hair because of the ingredients. most shampoos contain sulfates which strip your hair. pantene is one of those shampoos and contains wax which weighs down your hair.

  • @msglowin Yes, I know :)

  • the red tsubaki contains camellia oil ..so if ur hair is naturally more prone to getting oily then the red line will make ur hair oily!

  • @hBeix both the red and damage care line contain camelia oil, not just the normal one

  • What is that site called that you mentioned?

  • @tallgirl15 makeupalley? i had to go back and watch this vid...hahaha but i think thats what u were talking about :)

  • I have thick wavy frizzy hair and I've triedboth formulas. They make my hair feel heavier and it makes my hair feel softer. The smell is good too as you noted. Sorry it didn't work out for you but the good thing is that Pantene is easier to find (plus cheaper)

  • @hBeix actually not really, for some weird reason the head spa line actually made my hair oily faster than the red line for some really really weird reason.

  • @msglowin Aah-HA, that's why my hair always looks like crap >_<

  • @IllianaJerk29 they have the refills on amazon.com

  • In Japan Shiseido Tsubaki is sold in drugstores as well, haha. It's considered on the higher end of drugstore brands, but still a drugstore brand. Shisiedo in the states has a very high image attached to it, but in Japan it's kind of like the brand that makes everything. They make really low quality products and really high quality products. But yeah, I read that Tsubaki keeps your hair really straight because of the oil and waxes (?) in it, not sure if that's true...

  • Your hair does go through a changing period as well. Anytime you switch your hair goes through adjustment. I tried red tsubaki and I hated it the first time. It was strange what it did to my hair. Then this summer I used it again and my hair looked fabulous. Maybe my hair changed since I started to switch to bar shampoo and then back to tsubaki.

  • hey mz, do you live here in hawaii? cos you mentioned Marukai and we got that store here in oahu, do you still use shiseido? what are you using now? aloha marty..what is your body soaps?

  • I used the gold pump size I got it from a coworker who had the same problems. I have dry curly african american hair and after I used it my hair felt softer and combing was so much easier now the only problem I'm having is finding the refills because the bottles are running low
