One person obviously had their computer upside down when they were giving this a jolly thumb up.

I honestly hate to have to do something like this, as I know this is really interesting... but I'm looking for one of his python animations that was a mock advertisement for "pictures of people with lives more interesting than yours" and can't seem to find it anywhere.. I'm sure I'm not quite referencing it right.

It's an inconvenient reminder that to get famous you have to start of by doing a shitload of work. That sketch sounds like a needle in a haystack, it could be in any episode.

Thanks so much for posting this. I saw it repeated one Saturday morning in the early 80s and it was the most inspiring thing I've ever seen. I still think about those pram top shapes fighting whenever I see the "Oh, what a lovely little..." cartoon.
Gilliam is a true genius. And Bob Godfrey's a legend.

I love the computer, but sometimes when it comes to animations and visual art I respect physical things a lot more than digital.
Sometimes hard work really adds to the art itself.

This is class! I was actually inspired by Terry Gilliam's work to begin animating my own stuff. I started out with photos then I used drawings and just used the camera on my phone to take the pictures. unfortunitly I lost all those shorts, but I moved to other types of animation. but still if it wasnt for seeing Terry Gilliam's stuff I would never have thought I could do it. basically what I'm trying to say is, Terry Gilliam ruined my life! lol

My second favourite animator after Chuck Jones and my second favourite director after Stanley Kubrick.

Terry Gilliam must have an infinite amount of patience.
