slow motion car crash

Will testing out my gopro hero hd camera on my commute home from work I noticed a minivan swerving in his lane. I figured the driver was on the phone or something. As I passed him I didn't notice a phone. Further down the road, the traffic was almost stopped, just like it is every day. The driver of the minivan didn't stop soon enough. How is he a bad rider? I don't see him doing anything wrong -- "splitting lanes" is considered legal in the State of California. Most of you guys are ignorant.. educate yourself before you open your mouth.

@mugenekjay splitting lanes is legal in some states, but everyone wants cars and trucks to be more careful for bikes and respect them, its ok and everything but seriously he was pretty close to some and what if he got into someones blind spot at the wrong time, hell i think if a bike passed me that close probably would startle me a little maybe resulting me swerving or hitting my brakes. some of those passes he was doing was with a empty lane beside the car is could of used

@whatproblems - He isn't doing anything illegal. If you did tried to cut him off or open your door, you would get arrested for a felony in response to something completely legal the biker is doing. Even in states where it is illegal to lane split, I think purposely trying to harm someone would lead to charges against you.

One day one of them will pull out at the worst moment and you'll smack their door...feel like falling off the bike on a busy motorway ?Leave some space when you overtake a car or the next time you might be the one that idiot crashes into.
