Volkswagen is back to the WRC: In 2013 Volkswagen will start contesting the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) with the Polo R WRC. After three consecutive victories at the Dakar Rally, Volkswagen has set itself new aims. By 2013 Volkswagen will develop a near-300-hp rally vehicle with a 1.6-litre TSI engine and four-wheel drive based on the Polo.

  • warum kannman solche autos nich kaufen, sondern muss den scheiss polo-cl -mist nehmen. scheiß vw!

  • @cumbas

Sorry, You're a bit wrong. Lancia has 10 titles! Citroën only 6. But You're right. The French cars are developed very well. Citroën had only one or two big mechanical issue this season. If Mikko hadn't this accident, he'd won the GB. Next year Ford will win the championship. And I haven't anything against Citroën (btw. I like Peugeot a lot) I've only said, that Peugeot won't come to the WRC, as long as Olivier Quesnel is boss of the two brands and Citroën is still in the WRC.

    2a-end)

& who is & keep the greastest driver ever & forever & who going toward his 8th title of WC, 8th !!!!

    WHO ?!!

The greatest LOEB of course ! :-)

The others builders & drivers could hope to win one day the WRC only if the French decides to left the WRC LOL

But until this time it will always be a perfect FRENCH RULES ^^ :-)

    Dont dream

All the time where the French builders & their WRC Cars will be here, they will keep the Masters as in the past, nowadays & future (the French are in the 1st rank for the number of victories in the WRC since its beggining in the 60's)

I'm LOL when I thought at all these jaelous roastbeefs who said with the arrival of the BWM Mini, Ford Fiesta or others japanese cars "yes they will break the French!"

& now in 2011 WHO keep the Master again & again & again ? The FRENCH !

  • @trevwrc

I Think they will not come back to the WRC soon, because Olivier Quesnel is the chef of Citroen Total WRT and The Peugeot Team in the IRC and that would be only more Rivals for Citroen from "Their own Team". I hope Subaru will be back soon. But I'm looking forward to VW. I'm not a fan of them, but a new car-brand in the WRC is great, and let's see, what toyota and hyundai are doing ;)

  • It seems people/companies are getting back into rally I just hope they will make some production cars. I want a turbo awd coupe/hatchback so bad still driving my eagle talon.

  • que vuelva subaru si no no es wrc. volve subaru

  • Superbe vidéo, impatient de la voir rouler!! de la voir rouler!!!!!Ca fait plaisir de voir d' autres constructeurs sur le plateau de rallye mondial!!
