@SandMasta your kidding right the zr1 is lighter because its made of plastic plastic cracks breaks it just means its cheaply made plus the r8 has better suspension go look at top gears vids comparing them the r8 whoops its ass in turns

@SandMasta you havel the reason but just think.... the zr1 is the top of GM... and the R8 is not the top of VW... the zr1 is a good car but... is just other american car and so is cheaper

@originaldacc Also, the ZR1 can handle more lateral Gs than the R8 because it is much lighter and has better suspension. That is why the ZR1, ACR and GT2 RS dominate the lap times at Nurbergring right now.

@originaldacc Both cars are made out of fiberglass (AKA Plastic) with options for carbon fibre components genius. The Audi R8 GT Package adds $25,000 to the cost of the regular R8. The carbon fibre package for the vette adds less than $10,000. I know this because I sell them both. Get your facts straight

@Sunthaz true true, the R8 is a great car for turning heads. Audi reliablility and prestige is great, hence the big price tag. Vettes are very reliable sports cars though. The LS motor line is renowned for packing alot of power at a good price and not having issues on the track compared to others.

@SandMasta Spyder always is slower than a coupé version of a car. Besides Audi's focus is still more on comfort and not sportiness. Furthermore there is a reason why this car is more expensive than the Vette...it's a reliable, high quality car which lasts longer than 60.000 kilometers and if you want a German performance car you buy a Porsche anyway...
