Yawn. Both are paid by the same employer, the MTA, which has been grossly negligent in terms of spending. There are a hell of a lot jobs more dangerous that pay LESS - like working on an aircraft carrier.
And if you cannot move out of the way of a train, maybe you shouldn't be on the job.

@m015094 Whats more fucked up is raking in 350 grand with 5 grand monthly housing allowance. Yet the TA wants to control cost's. You're comparing 2 way different jobs my friend. One job you're fighting an enemy in which you are prepare to die. In the other, you're maintaining, repairing and inspecting tracks. Kind of hard to do when you are a dodging a 426 ton train coming down the trackway. Or when you're trying to avoid making contact with a 600 volt 3rd rail of direct current. No easy job

If you can earn $195K on overtime, then I would say that something is fucked up. You think working for the TA is the most dangerous jobs? Try being in the military on an aircraft carrier or in Iraq. Working for the TA is only dangerous if you are incompetent.
The MTA is keeps claiming a budget deficit, yet we see exorbitant salaries and pensions to current and past employees.

@m015094 subway conductors get around 46 grand a year. 241 grand is definitely overtime. Shes not getting that base salary, you stupid fuck. They had overtime she took it. She earned it. MTA is completely underpaid. Cops are afraid to come to the tunnels. Excluding 9-11, there has been more deaths in the TA than in any other civil job since the 70's. What do you do for a living cocksucka?

Did you even search google for it moron? Shelton S.Bethea, a conductor, made $241,324 last year. Ronald C. Dunne, a car repairman, made $283,618.
