Good video overall. But on June 6th, the first men to land were French soldiers. Then Americans, British, but also troopers from all over the world : Canadians, Polish, Australians, Belgians, Norweigians, Dutch, and much more. RIP.

one thing, when you say the US opposed France in the colonies ( Africa/asia), its not always true, the US supported France all along when they fought the indochina war.
