oh my god i want to punch your face.

I think Up should have won Best Picture. It dominates Avatar and ties with the Hurt Locker
-
@TheCookieMonsterYUM No, but originality IS what makes a good movie.

I thought Hurt Locker was a great movie. While the Oscars were going on, I was cheering for Up because I hadn't seen Hurt Locker yet, and I think it would be great to have a children's movie win Best Picture one of these days. I saw Hurt Locker literally the day after the Oscars and I think it deserves its Oscar Win hands down. But then again, I was just happy that Avatar did NOT win. I agree that it was a brilliant movie visually, but story wise... I've seen it too many times before.

its unbelievable how terrible movies are being shot and granted awards lately,...

Nine should've won, but since it wasn't nominated (after the Blind Side & District 9 WTF?), Up in the Air should win. Basterds, Avatar, Up, & A Serious Man are my second set of choices.

I think the hurt locker shouldn't had won best pic or best director best direcctoe should had gone to avatar and best pic should had gone to inglourious basterds, It's funny I picked avatar for best movie of the year but i dont think it should win it.

(500) Days of Summer was left out!!!

I'm gonna say this 1 more time. HOW COME NOBODY GIVES A RAT'S ASS ABOUT UP!!!! The last time a animated movie was nominated for best picture was 1991 (Beauty and the Beast)

@smokyp3nguin It deserved a Best Original Screenplay nominee because it was written really well and I think that was good, but Best Picture?

I haven't seen Precious, Up in the Air, A Serious Man or An Education, but......
DISTRICT 9 FOR THE WIN!!!!! I also wouldn't mind if basterds or hurt locker won. In fact, I'll be happy as long as Avatar doesn't win...
