Happy memories at the carnival and lazy fun filled evenings at boardwalks - these couldn't be complete without funnel cakes. And this special recipe now has the secrets of how to make this luscious treat at home. What's more, vegetarians can savor it too, as this gives the same flavorsome taste without using any eggs

  • would i be able to replace the milk with soy or almond milk?

  • @willsing4ramen - Yes i think you should be able to do it with soy milk too as it has pretty much the same consistency as milk..but not sure about the almond milk..as it is slightly more thicker in texture

  • meaning of Vegan is A vegetarian who eats plant products only, especially one who uses no products derived from animals, as milk ,fur or leather.

  • @swapna766 - Thanks for posting and yes you are right Vegans do not eat any animal product including dairy products. Since this does contain milk it does not qualify as a vegan dish.

  • most true vegans don't do dairy or yeast (or even honey,) I would challenge you to make a funnel cake using soy or whey milk, coconut cream.

  • I once made a vegan funnel cake, I used soy milk, fresh blended young coconut, and bananas. I used some maseca (Mexican white corn, tamale flour.) I like to put Dutch cocoa powder in it, some people like vanilla extract or cinnamon. There's other variations. It's pretty easy to find delicious substitutes for vegan cooking. If you use bananas, peanut butter, or applesauce in place of some of the oil or eggs; soy or coconut milk/cream. I really like how it turned out.

  • pettarap!! pettarap!!! pettarap!!!
