Mazda Trumps Pontiac: Pontiac Solstice vs Mazda MX-5 Miata

Funny video shows how Mazda Truly Trumps Pontiac during GM's National debut of the Solstice on The Apprentice (the Donald literally designed an entire episode around the new roadster).

At the end of the show there was a plug telling you to find out more info on the car featured in tonight's episode by going to Yahoo! and searching for 'apprentice car'.

If you actually Yahooed it you'd only find one thing: the Mazda MX-5 Miata...Pontiac's Solstice was no where to be found!

This is an oldie but goodie that I could not share until now as we were still managing all of Mazda's Search Engine Marketing Programs; last quarter we were sat down in the conference room and told 'you're fired'!

Who cares about that horsepower when you can't handle the tight curves in the road. MX-5 is as close to 50/50 weight distribution as you can get, and the traction control is superior. And Solstace is too fat and bulky. (Not to mention, it's still a Pontiac). When you buy an MX-5 you buy Mazda racing heritage. What does ponitac have? It doesn't even handle the road. Horsepower is all it has. No chance of overtaking the MX-5 in Roadster market dominance. Solstace is a thing of the past

Wow, leave it to the Jap importers to take the cheesiest way to go. The Miata has always been a stubby little chick car, cheesy in every way. The Solstice is much sharper and more powerful than any other two-seater in its class. Sorry, but Mazda earns extra LAME-points for this one.

I'd Take a Solstace any day over a MX-5, the GXP has 260HP!
