The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920) - Full Movie

A man named Francis relates a story about his best friend Alan and his fiancée Jane. Alan takes him to a fair where they meet Dr. Caligari, who exhibits a somnambulist, Cesare, that can predict the future.
When Alan asks how long he has to live, Cesare says he has until dawn. The prophecy comes to pass, as Alan is murdered, and Cesare is a prime suspect.
Cesare creeps into Jane's bedroom and abducts her, running from the townspeople and finally dying of exhaustion.
Meanwhile, the police discover a dummy in Cesare's cabinet, while Caligari flees.
Francis tracks Caligari to a mental asylum. He is the director! Or is he?

You're not too late : my son will have his final exam (art history) next wednesday. He had to build his own 8 items list from all the artistic master pieces (films, paintings, sculptures, etc.) they studied along the year. He'll have to explain and answer questions on one of them.

I guess is too late for a proper response but since everyone else is too cool to reply. The longer version runs at a slower rate which makes the actions look more natural. The music is way creepier. The sliders with words more jagged and disjointed. They also show the original colors (silent movies colored the whole frames to show different hours of the day, blue for night, golden for afternoon, ect). It gave the movie a completely diff. experience, more creepy and original.

in the end we find out that the story Francis told (the whole movie) was just a delusion and made up in his mind and everyone, cesare ect are patients in an asylum that they are all in and ciligari is the head doctor their. (and i'm guessing actually a good guy.)
