I have 5 collections of djs music, worst thing I could ever do was to buy this, now I got to go through it and there is cussing and just a bunch of useless crap. I opened one folder and about 20 other folders opened up and there were folders in them. I spent about 8 hours going through just one of those folders inside the other folders after that I stopped it was just taking to long for look for good songs. People organize there songs so poorly. Best just to do it yourself.

great advice!!!

I like all means of music, computer, vinyl CD, assette as long as the dj plays good tunes and mixes them well.

Lol. Keyboard and mouse.
Deck A / B Pitch Blend. (during the mixing in)
Deck A / B Pitch Adjust up or down. (during the listening on headphones)
Mouse - volume controles and spin backs.
What the best way to store and organize music? Please make a vid addressing these issues.

When you have that many songs its hard to honestly remember what you even have, and what its called. So going through and finding songs you do want to play is a lot harder. Ive been working on my collection and it does take time, but it is really worth it.

Thanks mate - another vote for preparation and consolidation.
I once had a discussion with a fellow player at a club I worked at in California, and he said he could easily find any song he wanted in over 1000 cd's. He had the sleeve cases. I had about 600 disks in jewel cases, with color coded categories and alphabetized within each category, and I told him I wasn't even comfortable fumbling through to find things, compilation disks, collections, etc,
But sleeves? No way. I just nodded.

We should reall draw the line between the "mobile" dj and the proper DJ, club house kind.

I agree to a point, the mobile guy can bring a big collection, as long as he has a mainstay group that is refined and at the fingertips.
As far the club guy having a smaller, refined collection, look at armin or oakenfold at a gig. One case. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE PLAYING BEFORE THEY WALK IN. IMO. and they may refine a small amount, but I think in the club the dj should have clubowner size bullocks, running it. Not this "oh boy, here we go let's see if this works"
Thanks u fired me up :)
