After years of chronic sinus infections and two sinus surgeries, my ENT doctor and the ENT Research Department at John Hopkins Medical Center taught me how to treat my sinuses on a daily basis. Since I've been doing this procedure on a daily basis for three years, I have never had another sinus infection.
The antibacterial ointment, which is actually the part that kills the germs that cause the infections, is Mupirocin 2%. Mupirocin is the generic version of the more widely known name brand Bactroban ointment. I didn't find any advantage over the name brand medicines versus their generic versions. If you watch the last 10 seconds of my video, I list all of the namebrand and generic medicines. Good luck!

Thanks for this video !! Very educative !! I used Sinus rinse for about 1 year now for my sinus infection. My doctor prescribed to me Pulmicort with my sinus rinse. I'll try this tonight ! But what is the ointment that you use ?
