  • I wonder if this is what taking lessons from Fred Morrison would be like. It seems like he's taking Stewart Liddel along for the ride and slowing down till Stewart catches up. Would be so much fun.

  • @J2OLDS Actually yes, it is that much fun. He's kind, gentle, patient, and funnier then hell. he's doing a small pipe program in October and again in February... all in Washington, near Seattle

  • Anyone know where I can buy one of those Electronic Great Highland Bagpipe's from?

  • @Saxpiper hotpipes dot com has the electronic chanters

  • What is that thing that Liddell is playing?

  • Fagerstrom Electronic Great Highland Bagpipe & Smallpipe

they're really nice for practicing when you just don't have the air to blow a chanter

  • Great show :-)

  • Great :-)

  • @J2OLDS

I don't really think Stuart requires all that much slowing down tbh, lol. I reckon he can keep up up with most.

I do like his little WTF?!? reactions to Fred's false fingerings - look at the E flat at around 1:40 :)

  • @hyperpiper94 what happened at 4:30 ?

  • @nateprentice not playing anything, going through the chanter "fingering" before attaching glaze, bag and drone, avoids the torture till he has the movement and tune synchronised (or played) in head, hand and instrument...or near enough not to horrify himself into quitting.

  • any ideas of the name of this tune?

  • @Saxpiper Red Pipes in Germany has the most intricately made, authentic working and authentic sounding electronic pipes I have ever heard or seen. The problem is they cost about 2 times what comparable set of real pipes do

  • Anyone know the name of the first and second tunes?
