"Stop" was probably recorded in 1971 or 1973.

Taken from the double-re-issue-album "Sun Secrets - Stop" (released 1974, 1975).

Lyrics:

Stop what you´re doin´, baby come a little closer to me.
Tell me all your troubles, tell me ev´rything;
I´ll give you sympathy.
You´re not supposed to say no,
but when you do,
I can´t control myself (control myself)
You´re not supposed to refuse;
my love for you will make you satisfied sleep,
Lord, Oh (come on, baby)(satisfied)
Stop feelin´ sorry, don´t you know
I´ll give you anything you say.
(What I say)
Look inside my lonely room and tell me
do you really dig my lonely ways.
You´re not supposed....................
Dream on, dream on, dream on...........
Stop it, baby!
You´re not supposed to say no but when you do,
I get upset inside.
You´re not supposed to say no when do
I can´t control (myself, myself, myself)
Hey! You better stop it, baby!

  • Julian, What makes you think this song was recorded in 1971 or 1973?? The album came out in 1975 and makes no mention of any songs recorded before that on the album.

  • Long live Burdon

  • Classic rock sound of the 70's - brilliant!

  • so far , no one has found "message from the county farm" off of the stop lp. even eric don't play it.

  • wow, that song rocks!!!! I am just now getting into EB, somehow I missed out on listening to him very much when I was growing up.

  • Man, I know there is live footage out there from this era. I saw them on Don Kirsne'sr Rock Concert' or In Concert .That is how i got turned on to them.Eric kept stompin' on this box for all the echoes and affects It was great.
