Man that's a cool deer. I love them heavy bucks. It's interesting that he's a little crabby on the top right side but still all kinds of heavy. Nice deer man.

@overkilllz I have heard/read the Tikka is a solid performer. I shoot a Ruger M77 II with a Leupold III 3.5x10x40 with a dot. I had a new trigger and some other work done. I shoot Federal 165 SPBT loads, they shoot very well out of my rifle. Like anything, it is all shot place, so what you can well in the field is what counts. Again thanks the post on a great buck. All my muleys were taken with a .270 win. One a Winchester, the other a Tikka. The Tikka's trigger is superior and I usually use 130 Scirocco handloads.

That is a nice buck. I live in Western Wyoming where there are lots of huge deer taken each year. To bad I'm to lazy to really get after them haha!

@NoubzHunter so what have you killed all your big mule bucks with? I shoot a 7mm Rem Mag, all my friends in Colorado kill their deer and elk every year with a 270 shooting 150 grain factory loads works everytime.

I'm simply stating that my buck scores 170 5/8", using the Boone and Crockett scoring method. Minimum scores for Awards Book is 180 typical/215. Minimum scores for All Time Book is 190/230, so this buck does not make it into the books.

yeah i would say that he has eight inch bases for sure! I shot a 5x7 that was 26 and a half wide that has 6 and a half inch bases in 2004 also!!
