45 year old lady presented with difficult and painful swallowing. Endoscopy revealed a fungus infection - Candida, lining the foodpipe, causing her pain and difficulty. Cancer is not always the cause of swallowing difficulty.

  • iv got upper chest pain when i swallow anything including liquids its been going on for 3 days but its only in One general spot each time

  • I am guessing that this patient was possibly alcoholic ? ( I am guessing re the diabetes and the poor nutritional status, anf alcohol makes the esophagus vulnerable too).
