Hello, I've been collecting rare films and television programmes for nearly twenty years now and I thought it was high time I shared some clips from a few of the titles in my archive with you nice people out there. If you've a similar passion and would like to trade material or just want to say hello, thanks etc. get in touch with me here or at statesedgefilms@virginmedia.com

I look forward to hearing from (at least) a few of you and hope that you enjoy my humble offerings.

THE OSCAR (1966)
"This is the story of...The Dreamers and The Schemers...The Hustlers and The Hopefuls...The Free-loaders and The Phonies...The Fakers and The Famous...All Fighting for the Highest Possible Award!!"

Frankie Fane has clawed his way to the top of the Hollywood heap. Now, as he's preparing to win his Oscar, his friend Hymie Kelly reminisces over their life together, and Frankie's ruthless struggle to the top and the people he's stepped on (i.e., everyone else in the movie) to make it there (IMDB).

  • Ugh. Milton Berle.

  • I think I saw it. The 37th Annual Academy Awards: held on April 5, 1965.

  • I wonder if they filmed this at the previous year's Oscar ceremony. At that time, they were held at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.
