I made the plans myself. I saw several videos at Sawmill Creek and went from there. Some of the videos have pretty good details about how the rotation system works.
There are brass bushings in the vertical supports and ball bearings in the MDF rotating top. I have a solid steel rod passing all the way through the 36" width. The rod is 5/8" diameter. I bought all the hardware at Lowes. Ball bearings aren't usually used in fliptop carts, but the planer, sander, and 3x 3/4" MDF top weigh over 200 pounds.
do you still have the plans for this? I have the same planer and need to house scroll saw on the opposite side. This looks PERFECT
