Detroit Red Wings / Los Angeles Kings 12/31/06

Detroit Red Wings' Mikael Samuelsson scores on a power play in which Detroit gets several great scoring chances against the Los Angeles Kings in a dominating performance (just watch this footage!) This was my Christmas present: my first Wings game in Detroit on New Year's Eve.

Play-by-play: Nicklas Lidstrom passes to Mathieu Schneider, who shoots just wide, Dan Cleary picks up the puck and tries to stuff it short side and has it swept right to the stick of Robert Lang, who shoots over the net. Puck comes around to Schneider who fires a wrist shot that hits the goal post (everyone jumps up). Schneider gets a pass back and gives it to Samuelsson who shoots from the right circle and scores.

Your first game? :D I agree the Red Wings never fail to impress. My first game there was this year when they played the Flames and they won 7-4. GO WINGS!
