  • Nice vid... but you might wanna change title to 'known as canal tuna' ... i thought you actually caught a tuna in the canal...

  • I lived in SW Fla, & am coming back,

I loved the weather,Beach& Fishing, & miss it a lot

We used to catch Jacks in the SW canal behind the house in Cape Coral & everywhere else all the time, big schools used to move thru & we got big ones then on the edge of the schools, I caught them on EVERY kind of lure /plug you can think of; Bombers , rebels, Rat-L-Traps , one day I couldn't keep the Jacks off of a Bubble Gum Pink 3/4oz. Rat-L-Trap, they just kept whacking it.

    They'll hit anything

Cool I will have to come that way and try to eat one and see if it taste good. I usually pan fry them or grill them. Cant wait hopefully I can get to Florida. Thanks for the response. I will even try to use them for bait.

  • @johnjpa808 They're trash fish over here, though they are great for a good fight and make awesome shark bait. I've eaten small ones (1 lb) and they actually aren't bad, but I'd rather use them as bait or for a good fight.

  • Awesome I like how you didnt just throw all your catch in the cooler. In Hawaii we call these Papio and Ulua not as abundant like you just displayed one day I will go to Florida and do the same. Do you eat them? Back home these type of fish are prime eating. Hopefully you come out with more episodes.
