A scene from the 2002 production of "Music of The Bahamas", produced by Ringplay Productions and featuring Particia Bazard, and the cast. This video was recorded by Plantation Pictures Ltd. and the stage production was directed by Philip A. Burrows. "Music of The Bahamas" was written by Nicolette Bethel and Philip A. Burrows and was adapted from, Music in The Bahamas; its Roots, Rhythm and Personality by E. Clement Bethel.
This is my favorite song in this genre! I appreciate so much when voices comprise a melody as opposed to music - the music only adds but the Voices are what stands out most. Too happy to have found this youtube channel - thank you for being in existence!

@tinstarr55 This song was collected in the 1950s in The Bahamas by folklorists. Every recording made after that (The Grateful Dead's, Aaron Neville's, etc) was based on the Bahamian original. Joseph Spence and the Pinder family were the singers as indicated by @242shelly242.
