Sid Caesar is an absolute master of comedy. I discovered his work when I was in university, and I'd stay up late watching syndicated half-hour compilations of "Your Show of Shows", the show that he, Imogene Coca, Carl Reiner, and Howard Morris did LIVE, every week. The show had fantastic writers like Mel Brooks and Neil Simon. The "Alan Brady Show" (on the "Dick Van Dyke Show"--created by Carl Reiner), & the "King Kaiser Show" (in "My Favorite Year") are both based on "Your Show of Shows".
