Rift: An In-Depth MMO Review

This is a long, involving, and ultimately, I think, informative review of the MMORPG Rift. The analysis of the game is in-depth and focuses a lot on where this game shines, specifically what it does different from World of Warcraft, the gigantic class customization and the "rifts" themselves. Meat building your class can easily take hours. The review chit chats a bit but I think I ultimately got the overview of the world of Rift on the table and my mission was accomplished. This isn't a game for the fans of Black Ops and other fps shooters that tickle your twitch reflexes in a never ending barrage of action. It's a laid back grinder inside a community of pvpers, rpers, and casual players.

I don't see why mmo's need 20 minute reviews, I also don't see why anyone would pay for one. In my eyes most mmos are the same. I just play one until I get bored and then I get a new one or just play a different genre of game. If you look hard enough you will find lots of f2p mmos that are as good or better than WoW.

Great review. But there is only 1 thing... Everyone that has a 85 toon of WoW is sick of it, or at least I am. Do the same quests over and over again. I haven't played rift but I am done with WoW now. Some of these reviews look amazing. But I am for sure not returning to Azeroth again. If ya could, please tell me what you think of this game V.S. WoW.

@stanburdman do you know meaning of word "objective" ? No game is objectively better, seriously. And just because lots of people play wow, it doesnt mean its the best game out there.

mmos are so stupid for me.

I can't get what is the point of playing a enslaving game that never ends, I played this kind of game once than I notice I was wasting my life on that after some days, than never played and will never play this kind of game again.

@thesiriusadam the thing with f2p mmos, is that yes its free, but they always get you with special items you need to buy with real money. I sucked in when i played runes of magic, spend more money on that game then a pay mmo. Of course it depends the person, but most people i know paid some sor of money for f2p.
