-Headshots literally don't hurt if your swinging properly.
Again, I was making unfair generalizations.
If your on the west coast at some point in the future, let me know, I'd love to have so 'bouts with you and learn.

-Certainty that you can have headshots in a game and have people not get hurt. At that point, its more a fight about technique and control than who can swing the hardest. Out of the kinds of fights I have down in the past 10 years, I have learned how to pull a shot so that its still a fast swing, but the contact itself is "gentle" so to speak. Especially if its dependent on weapon construction. The amtgard and belagarth weapons are heavier in nature than the cheep light materials, so (continued)

@RomanovBuck I wasn't making an attack to you, I was however making an unfair generalization though. The folks that I have had duels with that have been from amtgard, have been extremely proud and iron-hided heavy shots to the arms and torso.
I lost all sorts of respect for them, and I would love to re-gain a sort of respect from a decent fighter that knows how to fight. If I have to go to texas for that, then I will. But your right on a few levels.
However, I can say with certainty (continued)

Well, that verbal attack was unexpected.
I'll asplain a few things. First, it's not that we don't take headshots, it's that they aren't legal. Headshots are dangerous, plain and simple. Second, You're comparing yourself to California amtgarders. Spew that shit to some Texan players and I'm certain we'd be willing to put y'all in your place.
Lastly, I was only suggesting looking into amtgard weapon construction. It's stronger and safer and easier to use.

@Doradanis1 Sorry, didn't mean to come off like that, I was just responding and was slightly intoxicated. Apologies for my rudeness!
As for bashing, out there you get your gear check out by the locals (mostly the elders who have been doing it the longest) and get it 'passed' to play with. Normally, shields are not considered bashing legal unless they are padded for such maneuvers. they test via hitting creator with it, and a few others, as well as a "hands test" to find hard spots.

@LunarBluestar Don't take it as a critic ^^' i was just pointing something that i never seen before. Here where i play we don't have "professional boffer equipment" either. It was very creative to make a shield the way you guys did. My only concern was about safety (since it would no be nice to be bashed with a plastic shield xD) but, i'm no one to say "it is wrong" or "it is right". We all do the best we can to have fun ^^

@333FlutterButterfly Exactly! Thats the kind of spirit we cherish and aspire to! If you can't find a local group to fight with, make your own! Get a few friends together, look up some youtube vids on how to make some basic weapons, and just start going out and playing. small duels at first, then that sparks interest, and gets more people. Thats how Boffer Wars started. From 8 people to 120 in 2 years. And those fights were hidden by the redwoods, think of how many fighters you'd get in the open

I'd challenge you to a duel on that, but i doubt you could even do anything that involves athletics.... tell you what, you show me a video with you being able to run 100 yards without gasping for a cheeseburger, and I will consider you to be something more than a meat sack.
