FOX 6 begins search for this years "Guam Idol "

t's that time again, when Guam stars light up the stage, vying for the title of "Guam Idol." The preliminary round in FOX 6's Guam Idol was held last night at the Guam Premier Outlets.

Every Wednesday two contestants will be selected to move on to the grand finale on August 13th, and the man or woman selected as Guam Idol will win a round trip ticket to New York, where they will be given a guaranteed audition in front of the American Idol producers. Here is a snippet of some of last night's contestants.

You can vote for your favorite contestant all week long. With your Guamcell phone, text idol... 4365 and punch in your contestants number. You can do that through next week.

If you'd like to join go to the GPO information desk or at the FOX6 offices on the 8th floor of the Bank of Guam building in Agana. Preliminary rounds are on Wednesday's through August 6th. The grand finale is on August 13th at GPO.
