Noice.

Try reading V., his first published book, it's pretty cool and 'easier'.
To the rest, don't be so obsessed with 'understanding' the book in all of it's minimal details, just enjoy the book. That's what I did when I read it, and it worked, I loved it.

have you read any other Pynchon books? If so, what's a good place to start (I heard this is not a good one to start with...)?
-
@matthunterrlf Haha, thanks...

@wuz352 you live in a world of ideals, hombe... my self in a world of humans

@matthunterrlf You might be doing a bit of romanticizing yourself, hombre.

Did you read Against the Day yet?? Its my second book I'm reading by Pynchon, and...I'm struggling with it too lol. I would love to hear your thoughts on this book

@AresVolta I haven't, but I'm not surprised by your reaction, haha. I've heard V. and Crying Lot of 49 are a bit easier of jump off points though.

u need "gravitys rainbow companion" by steven weisenburger...explains all the esoteric historical and cultural references that each page...hell..each paragraph are loaded with

@matthunterrlf Yeah I've heard that's a pretty solid reference. I figured if I could get thru Infinite Jest without one I would have been good on this one without a guide too...looking back I think it would have been nice.
