playithardcore: Deus Ex - VersaLife Assault Part 1

This is how to (safely) assault the VersaLife complex when playing hardcore. It is played on realistic, with no reloads. Care is given to the use of Ballistic Protection to make sure that at no point can you be instantly killed, as you can normally. Both secretaries on this level carry 10mm pistols, which can instantly kill you on a headshot, so we make sure to have it up when facing them as well.

All guards on this level carry 10mm so Ballistic Protection alone is enough to take them all on.

The one complaint I had about this game. On Realistic you die too easily to weaponpistol, weaponmj12commando, and weaponrifle. Dying to a single non-headshot is bs.

After that I went for a neck shot (which usually works well) but that failed as well, one shot from him to the chest killed me.

There's one thing I don't like about the realistic difficulty level, it seems as if the others have more health than you do. For example,toward the end in the silo there's a sniper in the tower. One shot to your chest will kill you (most likely) at least a head shot will. I was advanced in rifle skill, and one direct shot to his head didn't kill him. I thought I had missed but I tried it again (I reloaded) and the same thing happened.
