Now I'm starting to understand your point. Akala speaks alot against consumerism. I think that he consider his travels a valuable thing, not a fancy shit. So form him is ok. Ye he could shoot 10 videos with the money that he spend to shoot that video in Brazil, but he choose to do it and I think we should respect that and personally I'm very happy that he keep in contact with Brazil.
